Can we choose to continue down a path even though there are signs at every step along the trail, warning us to turn back? “Be cautious. Be safe. Don’t stray into the shadows.” Can we open our hearts so wide and allow the possibility, welcome and encourage the chance, that everything we know will be shattered, broken? What, if in doing so, it meant that the pieces of our shells beneath our feet will cut us and our hearts will be open, raw, unprotected, yet able to grow larger and stronger now that the safety of the shell has been discarded? Can we have the blind trust of the caterpillar to stop, be still, and transform within- to then break beyond our past and take wing to our future?
